Portie is built to respect your privacy. Here is what you need to know.

Data We Collect

None. Portie does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers.

• Port scanning and process information is read locally on your Mac and never leaves your device.
• Your license key is stored in your Mac’s Keychain — it is not sent to us except during activation and deactivation.

License Activation

When you activate a license key, Portie sends the key to Payhip to verify its validity. Payhip’s privacy policy governs how they handle this data.

Purchases

All purchases are handled by Payhip. We do not process or store your payment information.

Remote Scanning

When you use the Remote Scan feature, Portie makes network connections from your Mac directly to the host you specify. No data about these scans is sent to us.

Updates

Portie uses Sparkle for automatic updates. Sparkle may check for updates from our servers. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.
